Boycotting the Beijing Olimpics?

Is it not the only way to pressure China into compliance with human rights? The world's leaders are too scared to act and are turning their eyes away from the genocide in Tibet while China's desperate to show its new face to the world. Using the Olympics for political reasons is not right but what if this is the only way to help save a country occupied for more than 50 years? Isn't that worth the lives and the freedom of millions of people?
