How do i play youtube videos on psp without downloading?

I seen on youtube some body that had a psp that wasn't even upgraded ( a phat psp) and they clicked into youtube and started playing videos like it was a lap top . It nearly drove me nuts that i couldn't do it or figure it out and want to know is there anyone that can tell me how to play youtube videos regularly . the person in the video didn't use any custom firmware at all
